Every emulator listed here runs the same games, reads the same prod.keys file and installs the same firmware. The real differences are how strictly each one checks your keys, which platforms it targets, and whether development is still active. Choose on those three axes rather than reputation.
How Strictly Each Emulator Checks Your Keys
- Ryujinx — validates the whole file up front and fails fast; ideal for catching a corrupt dump, unforgiving of hand-edited ones
- Suyu — moderate checks; boots often enough with partial sets to hide a bad dump
- Eden — deliberately permissive and tries to run with whatever it finds
- Yuzu — the most forgiving of the Yuzu lineage; a game that “sort of” boots here may still be undecryptable
- Citron and Sudachi — inherit Yuzu’s behaviour with their own Android-focused tweaks
Strictness is a diagnostic tool, not a flaw: if Ryujinx accepts your keys, they are correct.

Which Emulator Should You Use?
Best for Accuracy: Ryujinx
If you want the most accurate emulation with the highest game compatibility, Ryujinx is the best choice. It performs the strictest key validation and has the highest firmware dependency, but delivers the most faithful emulation experience. However, it does not support Android. See Ryujinx prod keys.
Best for Performance: Yuzu (Archived)
Yuzu offers the best performance on lower-end hardware. While development is discontinued, existing builds remain functional with any valid prod.keys file. See Yuzu prod keys.
Best Modern Alternative: Suyu
