Kelly Fenson-Hood, Project Director
Kelly has worked in Kibera for over six years focusing on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) issues. She also has eight years experience in behavior-change communication. She holds a masters degree in Health and Development Communication from the University of Denver and a BA in International Health Education from the University of Colorado. In 2013, Kelly became POHK’s Executive Director. In her tenure, she established 501(c)(3) status through fiscal sponsorship and developed the current POHK model. Contact:
Nicole Grable, Finance & Sales Advisor                                                                                   Nicole holds a bachelors degree in Business and is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Health from George W. University. She has 15 years of business experience, 11 years of direct sales experience and five years experience working in non-profit business. Additionally she has worked with non-profit organizations in developing countries for more than four years. Nicole has been working with POHK since 2014 to implement private sector approaches to the POHK model. She developed all financial tracking systems and the seller sales training.
Chris Okere, Community Advisor
A native of Kibera, Chris is one of the founders of Power of Hope Kibera. He has worked with many community projects to foster health including promoting breast cancer screenings, AIDS awareness and HIV testing, voter registration and job training programs for women in Kibera. Chris is a professional performer, drummer and dancer and has promoted projects through these arts. Chris immigrated to the US in 2012, and initiated the work to expand the focus of POHK to include developing and implementing research-based, sustainable activities to the benefit of his Kiberan community.  Kenya-Based Team

Sylvia Okere, Operations Manager, Kibera                                                                               Sylvia, a native of Kibera, was one of the original POHK team members. She is responsible for organizing and running daily operations of the POHK business in Kibera, as well as producing Power Soap. Syliva also coordinates POHK’s evaluation data collection. Wilson Onyango, Driver and Security                                                                                       Wilson, known as Willy around the POHK office, is a local to Nairobi and has family living in Kibera. Willy has been working with POHK since 2010 as a driver and security officer. With many years of experience as a matau (a 15-person vans used as public transportation) driver, he is an expert in navigating Nairobi traffic, as well as off-roading through the maize of Kibera roads.
